Lifetime Benefits For When You Join Our Mid-Year Intake

By P Michael

Many wonder whether they should begin studies at the beginning of the academic year, or during the mid-year intake.

Choosing the right time to start your university journey is momentous. Many students wonder whether they should begin their university studies at the start of the academic year in March. Or to opt for the mid-year intake in September.

At Swinburne Sarawak, we offer an excellent mid-year intake option. The intake allows you to start your educational journey later in the year instead of waiting for the conventional academic year, which is usually in the first quarter of the year.

So let’s explore what mid-year intake is all about, who can take advantage of this option and the many benefits it offers you.

what is mid-year intake all about

When is the mid-year intake at Swinburne Sarawak?

The 2023 mid-year intake will be on September 4. While it’s typical in Australia for the mid-year intake to be in July, Swinburne Sarawak’s mid-year intake is aligned with the domestic academic calendar.

And like the conventional intake at the beginning of the year, Swinburne’s mid-year intake offers enrolment into its many programs, including Foundation Studies, diploma programs and undergraduate degree programs.

What are the benefits of enrolling into Swinburne mid-year?

You don’t have to wait
Rather than waiting several months for the next academic year to begin in March, you can start your studies immediately. This keeps your academic and career momentum going!

Get a head start
You get to finish your study sooner than those who are waiting for 2024. This puts you ahead of your peers and starts on your goals sooner.

You can explore
At secondary school, you may have a general idea of your interests and career goals. When you enrol during a mid-year intake, you have the opportunity to delve deeper into your studies and even explore different subjects. Your passions may shift and you could discover new areas of interest.

Finally, our mid-year intake offers you plenty of study options. It’s a myth that you can not start in the program you want at mid-year. This is because our mid-year offers you the same study options as that of our March intake.
