KUCHING – Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus recently won the overall champion of the private institution of higher learning annual games (MASISWA) for the fourth year.
In the recent games hosted by the International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak, the Australian university branch campus competed in all the eight sports of the games: basketball, netball, badminton, futsal, volleyball, 10-pin bowling, table tennis and chess.
Of these, Swinburne Sarawak took the gold in basketball, netball, bowling and chess, and silver in badminton, table tennis and volleyball.
It collected a total of 88 points to take the championship title.
Trailing behind in second place was Institut Tecknologi Maklumat Nusantara with 59 points, while in third was Technology College Sarawak with 30 points.
Swinburne Sarawak has won the overall champion title since taking part in the games in 2012.
The three-day games was held from 17 to 19 April and saw the participation of about 570 students from 16 private institution of higher learning from Sarawak.
The other participating institutions were LimKokWing Sarawak Campus, SEGI College Sarawak, Kolej Sunway Kuching, University College Technology Sarawak, Unitar Sarawak Campus, Kolej Laila Taib, Multimedia College Sarawak, SATT College, Institut Eksekutif, i-System College, Masterskill Global College and Cosmopoint College Kuching.
