KUCHING – Industry practitioners and fresh graduates are invited to a preview of the MBA (International) program at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus this Saturday, 31 January.
The 3pm to 4pm session will be facilitated by Dr Ho Chye Kok, the Associate Dean of Postgraduate Education and senior lecturer in Human Resource Management from the Faculty of Business and Design at Swinburne Sarawak.
The MBA (International) is a general management qualification that enables its graduates to pursue a managerial career in any industry.
Its graduates are trained in key managerial functions including financing, marketing, human resource development, operations management, business development, strategic direction, and corporate governance.
It develops their capacity to analyse business situations and formulate strategic responses, taking into account the contemporary social, economic, and regulatory environment of business.
Ho, who lectures on the course, was recognised for outstanding teaching achievements and contributions to student learning experience, and has won numerous teaching awards in Malaysia and Australia. He holds postgraduate degrees from Cambridge University England and Melbourne University Australia.
He will speak on what a postgraduate business management education is, what a fresh university graduate could hope to achieve with the MBA (International), and how the course could transform the careers of practitioners and change their life as they acquire leadership and business management competencies.
Several of the first batch of Swinburne Sarawak’s MBA (International) graduates will receive their scrolls during a graduation ceremony at the university’s Melbourne campus in March.
“The lecturers’ academic and professional experience was really inspiring. The way the course was conducted was really motivating and made the dialogue and exchanges between us more productive,” said Enamul Hoque, one of the graduating students.
The next intake for the MBA (International) program is 9 February.
