Successful candidates are expected to deliver courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels while carrying out impactful disciplinary research. In addition, the candidates are expected to lead ad hoc projects at the School or Faculty level.

Requirements:
  • PhD in international business, including global operation management, international business, supply chain, logistics management or related disciplines.
  • Candidates should possess a strong commitment to research and advancing their field of expertise, including supervising postgraduate studies and securing external research grants.
  • Demonstrated good research track record with publications in high-ranked journals, such as Scopus Q1 or ABDC A or A*-ranked journals.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior teaching experience, preferably in higher education settings, is advantageous.

  • PhD degree in the areas of international business, including global operation management, multicultural operations management, supply chain and logistics management, or related areas.
  • Candidates should possess a strong commitment to research and advancing their field of expertise, including the supervision of postgraduate studies, to build the School of Business research profile. 
  • A recognised research track record with publications in high-ranked journals and/or managing research grants would be an added advantage.
  • Teaching experience in higher education will be an added advantage.

Lecturer (PhD) – Design and Multimedia Design [fixed-term contract]

Successful candidates will be expected to convene and teach undergraduate units of study in the School of Design and Arts in academic disciplines related to 3D modelling & animation and motion graphics in Multimedia Design and their research expertise. In addition, the ability to teach a wide range of design subjects including web design, traditional and digital publishing, branding, experiential design, photography and image production will be an added advantage. The successful candidate(s) shall provide leadership in teaching, both traditional and non-traditional research as well as external engagement for Multimedia Design and university as a whole.   
   
Requirements  
  • PhD in Creative Media Technology; Visual Communication & Media; Multimedia Design or related disciplines.  
  • Knowledge in 3D modelling, animation, motion graphics is essential.  
  • Knowledge in web design, traditional and digital publishing, branding, experiential design, photography or image production will be an added advantage.

Lecturer (PhD) – Quantity Surveying / Construction Management [fixed-term contract]

This position search includes relevant sub-areas of Quantity Surveying, preferably in measurements and have a strong background in cost control and cost planning. Successful candidates will be expected to convene and teach undergraduate units of study in the School of Engineering and Science in academic disciplines related to Quantity Surveying and Construction Management and their research expertise. In addition, the ability to teach a wide range of Quantity Surveying areas including Construction Technology, Measurements, Professional Practice, and Construction-related software and technology will be an added advantage. The successful candidate(s) shall provide leadership in teaching, both traditional and non-traditional research as well as external engagement for Quantity Surveying and the university as a whole.

Requirements:
  • PhD in Quantity Surveying; Construction Management; Civil Engineering; or related discipline.
  • A Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) or Consultant Quantity Surveying (CQS) candidate will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of substantial research output and significant impact.
  • Proven expertise and significant professional experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proficiency in using industry-relevant software and technology will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in teaching or training in higher education in a relevant discipline.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations or societies related to Quantity Surveying is desirable.

The successful candidates will be expected to convene, prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and provide consultation and support to students. A contribution to the School’s program development, areas of research or consultancy, and any other assignments and services specified by the School is also expected. Candidates with expertise and/or teaching experience in Engineering subjects, with preference for Engineering Mathematics (e.g. Calculus and Linear Algebra), and Physics are preferred. Expertise or experience in teaching Science – Chemistry and Biology will be an added advantage.
