Anderson received his Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Western Australia (UWA) in Perth, Australia, in April 2002. He went on to continue his studies at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He graduated with an MSc in July 2004.
Upon completion of his MSc course, Anderson worked part-time with a private IT company in Kuching as a Service Engineer. He then moved on to a teaching career in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in West Malaysia.
In May 2006, he joined Swinburne (Sarawak Campus) as a full-time lecturer.
His research interests include Portable Power Generation for Mobile Electronics, Consumer Electronics – Product Design and Development, and Low Power Electronic Devices – Design and Implementation.
