Visit us at our Pre-U Open Day on 7 and 14 March

KUCHING – Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is now accepting applications for foundation courses.

To help SPM school leavers and their family make better informed decisions on higher education, the Australian university branch campus will hold a Pre-U Open Day from 10am to 5pm on 7 and 14 March.

During the two days, consultation on and application to the one-year foundation studies in business, design, engineering/science and IT/multimedia, may be made.

Intake for the pre-university courses is 23 March, and those who enroll on the upcoming semester may proceed to degree by early next year.

To make an application, original SPM result slip and identity card are required while the application fee will be waived during the event.

Information on scholarships and study loans can be obtained as well.

A variety of student projects will be on show, providing a window into what the courses involve. This includes demonstrations of engineering, multimedia and biotechnology assignments and final year projects.

A quick “personality and career” test to help SPM school leavers decide their career path will be available. Trained counselors from the university will offer advice on suitable courses based on the analysis.

To learn more about the facilities and services available, tour the 16.5 acre campus. This will be led by Swinburne Sarawak students.

Visitors may also take part in the fun and games at a student carnival on the second day on 14 March. This event provides a glimpse of the activities organized by clubs and societies on campus.

Secondary school and school leavers may also compete in a selfie contest and win attractive prizes. Details are available on http://swinburne.edu.my/openday/ Terms and conditions apply.

Swinburne Sarawak’s foundation studies lead to a wide range of degree programs in business, design, computing, engineering and science. These may be completed entirely on campus with an option to transfer to its campus in Melbourne, Australia.

Degrees are awarded by the home campus and are internationally recognised.
