Swinburne Sarawak career fair on 8 April

KUCHING – Job seekers will have an opportunity to find employment and network with senior company staff during a career fair to be held at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak on Wednesday, 8 April 2015.

Open to members of the public from 10am to 5pm, the more than 20 companies in the “Sector Focused Career Fair” comprise those from the business, engineering and creative multimedia industry.

Some of the big names taking part are Shell Malaysia and Ernst & Young.

They will be receiving job applications and conduct job interviews during the fair.

To create an opportunity for visitors to interact and network with company CEOs and senior human resources staff in a casual and relaxed atmosphere over a cup of coffee, a sharing session called “Coffee Talk” will be held.

On 6 April, two days prior to the event, a CV review session and talk on preparations before visiting a career fair as well as job interview will be held at Swinburne Sarawak.

The fair will also benefit students looking for internship and employment opportunities.

Jointly organised by Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd and Swinburne Sarawak, the “Sector Focused Career Fair” is expected to attract about 3,000 visitors.

It is aimed at educating the public, particularly students, on the career choices available in the business, engineering and creative multimedia industry as identified in the National Key Economic Areas of the nation’s Economic Transformation Program.
