Swinburne has been ranked in the world’s top 400 universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the fourth consecutive year.
Swinburne ranked in the band of 351-400 out of the 980 institutions listed. This ranking places Swinburne in the top three per cent of universities worldwide.
The rankings employ 13 performance indicators designed to capture a range of university activities including research, interaction with business, international outlook and the teaching environment.
Swinburne’s international outlook was a standout, ranking in the second tier. This indicator measured the proportion of international staff and students at Swinburne as well as international research collaboration.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings has been providing annual lists of the world’s best universities since 2004.
Earlier in 2016, Swinburne also ranked in The Times Higher Education 150 Under 50 Rankings, which recognises the world’s top universities under the age of 50.
