MBA (International) program preview this Saturday

KUCHING – If you are looking to advance in your career or move into an entirely different one, you might want to consider a Master of Business Administration program offered by Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus.

The university will preview its MBA (International) program at its campus from 2pm to 4pm, this Saturday, 23 March.

According to Dr Chye Kok Ho from the Faculty of Business and Design, the program is designed to enable its graduates to pursue an entrepreneurial and/or managerial career in diverse industries across geographical boundaries.

“The curriculum of the MBA (International) program reflects the way the business world operates, and it caters to both business and non-business graduates, with or without work experience,” said Ho who will be presenting the preview.

Working adults without a professional business degree who are interested to progress in their present career or pursue a different career altogether may complete the program on a part-time basis where classes are conducted in the evening, he said.

“They will find that the program extends their professional network and prepare them for a senior management role,” Ho added. .

Bachelor of business graduates with the relevant work experience may be eligible for credit exemptions, allowing them to complete the MBA program in less than two years.

Swinburne Sarawak alumni are eligible for a 15% tuition fee bursary.

The program enhances career opportunities by improving the candidates’ leadership and management skills, and to operate effectively in a changing, complex and turbulent environment, said Ho.

“It develops their capacity to analyse business situations and formulate strategic responses in a global context, enabling organisations to survive and grow despite facing challenging circumstances.”

Those interested to attend the preview are advised to contact the university’s Business Development and Communications Unit at 082-415 353 or email to study@swinburne.edu.my
