The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Software provides students with technical expertise in designing and developing software, as well as planning, managing and operating complex software systems. On top of that, students are equipped with professional knowledge and skills in creating stand-alone, mobile, networked, and web-based software solutions for a full-spectrum of domains.
Graduates are eligible to apply for graduate membership with Engineers Australia (EA).

For the completion of Bachelor of Engineering (Software) (Honours), students are required to complete a total of 32 units (400 credit points) consisting of:
Core units (150 credit points)
Major Units
* Outcome unit – completion demonstrates the attainment of course learning outcomes
† Honours merit unit – results are used in the honours merit calculation
Electives/Minor
4 units in other studies (500 credit points)
In the final year, students will be required to undertake two Final Year Research Project units (capstone experiences) which helps meet professional accreditation requirements.
Students are required to complete EAT20008 Professional Experience in Engineering (non-credit point unit), a 12-week approved relevant industrial practical experience before the commencement of the last semester of study.
