NxForce Programme: Capacity & Capability Development programme is organised by the MDEC Cybersecurity Team, targeting cybersecurity-major students from selected education institutes. Swinburne Sarawak was one of the selected prestigious institutes to participate in this programme. The programme is opened only for Malaysian students who scored at least a CGPA of 3.0, undertaking a cybersecurity undergraduate degree programme. The training was done fully online with a quiz at the end of the training for qualifying for the certification exam. The certificate is the ISACA’s CSX Fundamentals Certificate.
School of ICT, Swinburne Sarawak is proud to have five of its students who participated and completed the training in December 2020, passed the exam and obtained the certificate in January 2021. They are Dennis Lim Chia Yin, Ho Kah Ming, Ling Chern Yung, Muhammad Irfan Elahee bin Mohd Illzam Elahee and Sebastian Patrick Sinsoon. This certificate is ideal for practitioners entering into the field of cybersecurity. Upon obtaining the certificate, they are recognised, globally, for knowing the key concept, standards and guidelines of cybersecurity and understanding of the role of the cybersecurity professional which is crucial for anyone who is starting a career in this field
