Enquire about further studies at Swinburne Open Day from 17 to 18 March

KUCHING  High school-leavers who are keen to pursue a globally-ranked and high quality Australian education at Swinburne’s campus in Kuching for a fraction of the cost studying abroad should not miss out on the opportunity to attend the upcoming Open Day happening from 17 to 18 March on campus from 9am-4pm.

“At Swinburne, we recognise that each student has a unique learning style and individual strengths. After over a 100 years in education and 150,000 graduates, we recognise that some students may need more help than others so we have additional classes and a strong support system from experienced lecturers and caring tutors. Swinburne will support and guide you, and I believe this is a key differentiator which students and parents need to know,” said Professor John Wilson, Swinburne Sarawak’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer.

Prospective students who meet the entry criteria and apply on the spot will receive an offer letter on the same day from the university and also stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes. The Application Fee will be waived during this Open Day event and students are advised to bring along their identification card and birth certificate (Malaysian students) or original passport (international students), original academic transcripts with grading system (SPM/GCE O-Level/UEC/STPM/GCE A-Level/Diploma or equivalent qualification), and original English language proficiency test results (MUET, IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent qualification).

The Swinburne Open Day offers exciting insights into students’ university journey as well as useful information that will assist students and parents alike to make informed decisions about their tertiary studies. Highlights of the two-day event include activities such as free on-the-spot application; course counselling by academic staff for courses in engineering, science, business, design and computing from Foundation to Postgraduate levels; career and personality tests; guided campus tours; and advice about scholarships and financial aid options.

Swinburne University of Technology is an Australian university with branch campuses in Melbourne, Australia and Kuching, Sarawak. The Sarawak campus offers degrees identical to those of its home campus in Melbourne, and as a result, students are awarded the same Australian testamur.

Flexible student transfer options are available for students interested in gaining exposure abroad. Students may transfer to the Melbourne campus or spend one semester at one of Swinburne’s student exchange partner institutions in South Korea or Germany under the International Student Exchange Programme.
